Where are Kindles made/produced?

All Kindles are handmade in Los Angeles, California.

What are Kindles made out of?

Recyclable, UV-protected resin that is lightweight, durable and easy to maintain.

Do all Kindles produce heat and light?

The Lumen and Blumen are lamps only. The Allison and Bella can produce heat and light (when ordered in white). The Sierra and Caroline only produce heat.

Can Kindles be left out in adverse weather?

Yes, Kindles have a UV protected shell that helps shield the heater from the elements. We do recommend using a Gabby cover for added protection. We advise removing the Kindle shade and sheltering the heater if you expect windy conditions.

How do you move Kindles?

We recommend using Dolly, our 3-wheeled transport solution. Dolly makes Kindles exceptionally easy to transport.

Will a Kindle work right out of the box?

Some minor assembly is required before using the Kindle. If you have a propane (LP) unit, you will need to purchase a propane tank form your local gas company. If you have a natural gas (NG) unit, you will need to have a licensed contractor install a gas connection and connect the Kindle.

How many BTUs do Kindles use?

The propane (LP) Kindles are 40,000 BTUs. The natural gas (NG) Kindles are 50,000 BTUs.

What is the heat output of the Kindle heaters?

The Kindles produce an eight foot radius of heat.

Can Kindles be installed in windy locations?

We recommend removing the Kindle shade if you expect high winds and sheltering the heater from wind gusts. Each heater includes optional floor anchors which are also recommended.

Do the Kindles have a warranty?

Yes, Kindle Living products are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the date of purchase except for accessory lights or other electronic products, which are warranted for 90 days. Warranty is limited to factory repair or replacement of parts and excludes all packing and freight costs. Warranty expressly excludes damage caused through neglect in the use of the product – such as failing to take precautionary measures during windy conditions – or non-intended use.

Are Kindle’s certified for my country?

Yes, heaters are CSA certified for Canada and the US and CE certified for the EU. Lighting products are made with UL listed components and are available in 110v or 220v configurations.
